As an Engineer I for the King County Department of Local Service (DLS), I monitor and update residential permits within project management software. I enable stakeholders’ success by coordinating quality assurance examinations and updating standard operating procedures to align with current team workflows. The following bullet points highlight my day-to-day activities:• Act as the final Quality Assurer before forwarding projects to the King County Department of Assessments for several residential permits, including Boundary Line Adjustments and Plats, Short Plats.• Monitor King County Public Records to ensure final county project recording. This task includes troubleshooting issues that may arise during the recording process, often requiring cross-organizational communication.• Assist the Product Line Manager in researching Clearing and Grading permit statuses. This project includes researching historic physical permits and updating project management software to reflect the current permit status. • Collaborate with engineering staff to produce updated applications and resource documents, such as combining, bookmarking, and hyperlinking multiple PDFs to expedite engineering workflows.• Co-manage multiple department-specific databases.• Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead (CESCL)
