About Jonathon Markowski

I\'m a designer, researcher and strategist with a passion for how and why we move, and the systems, products, places and experiences that bring us together. I have years of design research and strategy experience working with teams from Rolls-Royce to John Deere and engaging diverse users from forest fire fighters to public transit planners. I specialize in developing mixed methods research programs that provide actionable insights to UX, product, interaction and visual designers, and I have a record of inquiry leading to meaningful, durable improvements to digital and physical products in the automotive and mobility fields. I\'ve been able to focus on software and services, with the ability to talk to users about what they might need from their experience that affects back-end products- algorithms and APIs- and the data they need to collect and consume from vehicle telemetry, maps and user preferences.As a researcher, I\'m capable of planning and running qualitative interviews online, in-person and in-vehicle, building and maintaining interior and UX prototypes at any stage of fidelity from hack to buck, and designing and running surveys with analysis in Excel and reports tailored to design, R&D, product, software and leadership. My insights have contributed to vehicle programs- interior design, display surfaces and tech integration- as well as software experiences for navigation, EV routing, charging and POI search, and advanced/autonomous driving.As a designer, I\'m capable in Creative Cloud and Figma, and while my production responsibilities have typically been light, I have a track record of translating research insights into wireframes and prototypes for designers and presentations to partners and leaders. I\'ve frequently been responsible for developing user requirements for developers and partners.
