In this role I support Chevron business units by providing tax planning advice and guidance on business transactions, every-day operations, and when new tax laws are passed in the jurisdictions where those business units operate. The business unit clients that I serve today include Chevron Renewable Energy Group (CREG) and Chevron New Energies (CNE), both of which are creating affordable, reliable, and ever-cleaner energy that enables human progress. The areas of tax where I provide advice include: low-carbon tax credits, prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements, hedging transactions, transfer pricing, permanent establishments, due diligence, tax structuring, partnerships, depletion, etc.
