ABOUT JONATHON RHODES

From a betting shop job I almost fell into, I\'ve built a 30-year career in sports betting. An industry that\'s seen enormous change, often at the cutting edge of innovation, and thrown up interesting challenges and opportunities. In those thirty years I\'ve managed teams across most areas of the organisation and learned a lot along the way. That betting shop job led to a role at head office (testing a game-changing EPOS system) which led to running a content management team, with a sideline in product management and operational support. From the Tote I moved to the supplier side (with Alphameric) to run a larger content management service. I added product and account management responsibilities and redesigned our flagship EPOS product to work for the independent customer base. After three years, I was promoted to Operations Director and took on responsbility for the support, training, production and repairs teams. A total of 120 staff. A caretaker position running the retail division (180 staff) gave me the opportunity to reshape the business. I installed new sales and exec teams and moved our product offering to a hardware agnostic platform.In my time at OpenBet I\'ve looked after a variety of areas: product, customer support, project delivery, account management, software development teams, production and more. I\'ve worn many caps and bought many t-shirts. This has furnished me with excellent customer service, relationship and stakeholder management skills, and a long track record in operational management and developing products and services. Not to mention an in depth knowledge of betting.
