About Jonathon Lee
With over 18 years of experience in media technology and engineering, I am passionate about designing, building, and deploying cutting-edge production infrastructure for visual storytellers. As the Head of Media Engineering & Innovation at Amazon Studios, I lead a cross-functional, multidisciplinary engineering team that supports the creation of movies and series for Amazon Prime Video.In my current role, I oversee the cloud engineering, network engineering, sound engineering, video engineering, post-production systems, innovation, and teams. Some of the projects that I have worked on include The Culver Theaters \'23, a 11-screen theater complex retrofit that leverages next-gen HDR, microLED, 4K and 8K cinema screens, and Dolby ATMOS for exhibition and post; and cloud and hybrid workflows for AWS and Azure, enabling cloud editorial, storage, archive, and transcode. I have skills in video production, video editing, sound mixing, virtual production and cloud infrastructure. I enjoy collaborating with creative and technical professionals to deliver high-quality content.
