About Jonathon Carlson

I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Business Administration from the University of Arizona with Honors in 2008. I went on to study law at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and graduated cum laude in 2012. While in law school I excelled in trial practice, advocacy, and criminal law courses.During law school I interned in the homicide division of the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office in Detroit, Michigan where I learned the difference a good criminal defense attorney can have in a high stakes case. I saw firsthand how essential it is for the criminally accused person to have a zealous, dedicated, and passionate attorney to represent them in court. I went on to clerk for the Honorable Patricia Fresard of the Third Judicial Circuit in Wayne County, Michigan, and then the Detroit based firm of Mogill, Posner, & Cohen which focuses their practice on criminal defense, family law, and professional responsibility litigation. Both experiences provided opportunities to work on various criminal trials and appeals from the standpoint of the litigator and the judge.
