ABOUT JONATHAN W.

Staff iOS developer with over 10 years experience in professional roles. With a strong working knowledge of both Swift and Objective C. Most of my experience is with working on large complex iOS applications maintained by multiple dedicated agile teams. My primary focus and interests- CI/CD for iOS projects has been an interesting project, primarily I have experience with CircleCi. Aligning LightSpeed’s 3 iOS acquisitions into one workflow was a challenging but interesting recent project. Motivating multiple new teams to adopt Circle and then working to technically transition the process was a rewarding endeavour- Project modularisation is a brilliant way to break up and separate concerns in large projects. In my last year at Lightspeed I was actively partitioning the large codebase to enable the teams to move faster on feature development- I strongly believe programming is a fun and rewarding job. Working to motivate and enable developers to write their best code and enjoy doing it is a passion. Making the process to deliver tested, well crafted and maintained code is a worthwhile task as you can directly see the results within the teams- I also prefer to hire developers with great communication skills and passion for development. Having regular informal chats and meet-ups is essential in distributed remote teams. I regularly promoted team chats and get togethers. Side Projects and Publications- I have always enjoyed staying up to date on new technologies by working on side projects.
