Returned to Microsoft (via Penta) working directly with customers on pro-active and consultancy issues with Exchange Online, Exchange 2016, 2019 and more recently Exchange SE. Worked with a range of customers in various sectors ranging from government organizations to finance and banking at many different levels – from technicians dealing with the issues to the CIO sponsoring the overall project. Involvement with various customer projects during this time, covering areas such as -• Migration from Exchange 2016, 2019 to Exchange SE. Covering both legacy and in-place migrations, setting up parallel infrastructure including DAGs, Receive Connectors, Send Connectors and redirecting mail to use the new infrastructure once built and tested.• Working with customers regarding implementation of Exchange Dedicated Hybrid App and the associated impact to their estate on implementation.• Delivering training on various operational aspects of Exchange Server and Exchange Online.• Working major customer projects to import tens of thousands of PST files directly into the Exchange Online Archive, allowing the customers to decommission infrastructure holding this data, and crucially, improve compliance responsibilities and demonstrate an overall cost saving.• Troubleshooting performance issues with classic Outlook to improve customer experience, especially regarding the management of calendars. This would usually involve dealing with PAs and exec assistants managing calendars for senior leaders in an organization.• Stakeholder management on issues, from the engineer handling the case, internal account management team and the customer.• Working across multiple teams within Microsoft to deliver solutions to customers, from support and customer account management to engineering.
