I’m a lifelong learner in cybersecurity with an interest in enabling the most effective workforce possible. For the last 13 years I’ve been connecting, building, and maintaining relationships with diverse groups, learning from them and simultaneously helping businesses refine their practices. When I am not improving the security posture of healthcare organizations, I am building my technical credentials with HacktheBox, OvertheWire, or volunteering, covering areas such as: Active Directory Domain Services, firewall management, email filtering, antivirus configuration and deployment, vulnerability scanning, incident response, and compliance management.    Consults with healthcare clients to advise on security incident investigation, vendor procurement, and to provide defense analysis on the client networks and their IT assets-Resolves escalated security incidents directly with client users and leadership, acting as point of contact with vendors when necessary-Compiles evidence, cause analysis, and critical incident reports for client CISO, board, compliance, and HR staff-Lead Security Consultant for annual HIPAA Security Risk Assessments. Encourages clients to drive the audit process, own the results, and approach information security policy from an informed perspective-Coordinates with onsite team members to advise on site IT security decisions such as network access policy, vulnerability scan depth and cadence, antimalware scanning, and backup and retention policy-IT Security lead at client disaster and recovery tabletop exercises-Convenes with client and IT leads to evaluate licensing and purchasing decisions for client technology-Facilitates offsite staff vulnerability remediation efforts and reporting of security metrics-Creates email security policy and monitors filter and reporting mailboxes, responding when needed.
