Green Steel Environmental is a provider of sustainable additives for the wastewater recovery industry. Every day in the United States we release 30 billion gallons of treated wastewater into our streams, rivers, lakes, and oceans. The current state-of-the-art treatment processes include adding hazardous chemicals to sequester harmful elements like phosphate and sulfide. Green Steel Environmental’s technology began as a research project at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Our first patented product provides a sustainable, up-cycled alternative to these chemicals to allow resource recovery plants to effectively and sustainably clean wastewater. Our second patent pending product sustainably cleans hydrogen sulfide and other co-contaminants from biogas operations so that it can be used as renewable natural gas.
