Application Developer, previously on the Baillie Gifford Technology Graduate Scheme.Graduated with Merit in MSc Software Development at the University of Strathclyde in October 2022, with experience in Java, Python and Dart.Competed in Ultimate Frisbee with Strathclyde at University National level. Scottish University Mens Indoor Champions, 2nd in BUCS Mens Indoor National Championships and UKUltimate University Mixed Indoor National Champions. Competing at UK Club National level with EDI Ultimate.I am proactive in building great working relationships with colleagues through networking. I thoroughly enjoy working as part of a team, however work equally well alone.I am an individual with a high attention to detail and advanced Excel skills (including VBA). Previously worked as an Analyst involved in Development Change and Data within BNY Mellon. I delved deep into processes to identify inefficiencies and implemented changes to reduce costs whilst improving ways of working. Heavily involved in Development Change Projects. Understanding customer/business needs and translating this into changes. Analysed and manipulated data to undertake User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Reviewed and documented results for relevant stakeholders to sign off for production.In my free time during the COVID-19 pandemic, I used my spare time to further my personal development by undertaking courses in HTML, CSS and JavaScript to expand my car detailing lockdown side project.Prior to my role at BNY Mellon, I worked for 4.5 years at Lloyds Banking Group. 1 year as an Actuarial Intern in the Actuarial Customer Solutions team, sandwiched by two stints as an Administrator within the customer-facing side of Rectifications. Heavily focussed on continuous improvement and innovation projects.Prior to working in Financial Services, I graduated from the University of Strathclyde with BA (Hons) in Economics. This included numerous Accounting and Finance modules undertaken in Years 1-3.
