This structural material system combines continuous E-Glass, S-Glass, Carbon, or Aramid fibers utilizing polyolefin based resins and also engineering thermoplastics like polyamides, polyesters, and fluororpolymers. Unidirectional tapes and X-ply in continuous rolls can be post-formed through an elevated temperature process to create a new family of end-use applications. Impact and abrasion resistant panels for the rail and trucking industry, selective reinforcement of LFT (Long Fiber Thermoplastic) automotive components - including chassis and suspension,ballistic protection, and structural components are a few examples of the numerous applications for Polystrand material.
