ABOUT JONNY RICE

I had the privilege of working at Andor Technology since achieving my degree in 2005. Initially engaged in the manufacture and production of scientific cameras, my personal hobby in graphic and web design soon presented an opportunity in the Marketing department. In 2008, I was given sole charge of the design, development and content of all Andor corporate websites. Four years later, I fully designed, part-developed and launched new Andor and Bitplane sites, built upon a customised CMS platform and hosting several unique, custom-built tools and resources (ongoing). During my time in charge of the Andor site, monthly unique visitors have grown from to monthly downloads from to and quotation requests from 60 per month to 300. I was offered the chance to manage the team in 2015 and did so for 4 successful years. In my spare time I have worked on several graphic and web design jobs for non-profit organisations and have co-authored, designed, edited and marketed several short booklets on science-related topics.In 2019, I enrolled at the Bible Training Course at Cornhill Belfast on a full-time basis for one year. Upon completion, I joined Kilwaughter Minerals as Product Manager for the Lime division (part-time), engaging with product development, sales and marketing, as well as merchants, distribution channels and farmers to ensure the best possible product fit for a highly critical and valued industry across Ireland and the UK. In this role I had the opportunity to launch and develop two pioneering new services for the construction and agriculture sectors in the form of the Soil Health Hub and the Bulk Online Ordering Portal. These have already had a huge impact on our industry and will continue to grow as the more businesses and individuals engage with them.In December 2024, Kilwaughter was acquired by Saint-Gobain, with a new Exterior Solutions division being set up to accommodate Weber UK, K Rend, K Systems and Kilwaughter Lime. I became a general Product Manager within this new division, with responsibilities across multiple segments.
