ABOUT JONATHAN PARKIN
I am an enthusiastic professional engineer with experience managing projects and operations in the heavy manufacturing, renewable energy, and oil and gas sectors. I have delivered successful projects at a variety of scales from prelim economic assessment and feasibility study through original design, commissioning, and service contract execution.My technical background includes pressure equipment manufacturing, development of remotely operated welding and milling systems, structural design with steel, analysis of composites for rotating and fatiguing environments, optimization of energy generation assets, and most recently the manufacture of high-resolution ultrasound technologies. Through these roles and projects, I have managed unionized, non-unionized, and subcontracted teams of tradespeople and professionals.Colleagues would describe me as a generalist, and I embrace the idea that a first principles mindset leads to effective problem solving.
