As a Managing Director in Alvarez & Marsal’s CFO Services practice in New York, I help organizations navigate complex accounting and financial reporting challenges with clarity, rigor, and strategic insight. I serve on the senior executive committee leading the Accounting & Financial Reporting Solutions (AFRS) practice, bringing more than 25 years of experience as a trusted advisor across capital markets, technical accounting, financial analysis, and operational transformation.My work spans the full M&A lifecycle, with deep experience in transaction accounting and financial reporting. I’ve led and executed numerous cross-border and domestic transactions, and I routinely guide clients on the implications of evolving accounting, reporting, and regulatory standards. This includes supporting companies in operationalizing major new standards and improving the effectiveness, efficiency, and transparency of their disclosure processes.I was recently appointed to the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council (FASAC), where I advise the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) on strategic, technical, and priority-setting matters. I have also held multiple advisory roles with both FASB and the AICPA, including serving on FASB’s Investors Advisory Committee (IAC) and the Financial Reporting Executive Committee (FinREC). In addition, I’ve contributed to numerous AICPA accounting and auditing guides and authored articles on technical accounting and financial reporting topics. I speak frequently on accounting and financial reporting issues and have been quoted in leading financial media. Before joining A&M, I was a Managing Director in EY’s Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice, where I co-led FAAS’s M&A solutions cluster and EY’s Disclosure Effectiveness team. Earlier in my career, I served as Senior Director at S&P Global, leading the global financial services accounting specialist team, and in Deloitte’s National Office M&A practice, advising one of the world’s largest private equity investors on transaction and technical accounting matters.I hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Brooklyn College and an MBA in finance from NYU Stern. I am a CPA in New York and a member of the AICPA and NYSSCPA.
