Whether in-the-field or in-studio, I strive to bring an upbeat energy and creative flair to my work. My ultimate goal is connecting with the viewer, and telling them a story in a compelling, entertaining and memorable way. I’m currently the Chief Meteorologist for KIAH CW39 in Houston, TX, where I began in September, 2024. I\'m excited to to lead the newsroom and viewers through the ever-intensifying weather patterns affecting Southeast Texas, and bring innovative ideas that will move the weather department forward in both science and technology. Prior to starting in this new leadership role at CW39, I was a freelance meteorologist at KTTV FOX11 in Los Angeles. There I covered Tropical Storm Hilary, worked closely with the creative department to build new weather graphics and revise existing ones on a wide scale, and had the privilege of working prime time evening shows as well as filling in on Good Day LA. Before that I enjoyed working for eight years as the weekend evening meteorologist at KABC-TV, and as a host for Tennis Channel. While at KABC, I wore multiple hats, as a correspondent for ABC\'s syndicated show “On The Red Carpet\", as a tech reporter producing and fronting a weekly segment, and as a feature and environmental reporter. I’ve been fortunate enough to have covered a wide range of significant weather events, including Hurricane Katrina in Miami and Hurricane Ike in Houston; the record 6-year California drought; and the deadly tornadoes in Happy, I have a Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society, and graduated from Mississippi State University\'s Broadcast Meteorology Program with a 4.0 GPA.
