I serve two clubs engaging nearly soccer families and coach with a learning-science mindset as a USSF C–licensed coach, USSF B National Candidate, and PFSA/FA–certified Talent ID scout.Longer bio:I coach, develop, and identify talent across boys’ and girls’ competitive travel pathways (NCSL/tournament levels -> YNT) and lead seasonal futsal operations that turn court habits into field intelligence—ball mastery, scanning, decision-making, communication, creativity, and competitive composure—from U9 through U19+. My work emphasizes player-first development, alignment to US national coaching standards, sustainable wellness, and a culture where players intentionally reflect on their development, train smart, exhibit high effort, adapt as necessary, and have fun.Before transitioning to professional soccer coaching, I was a grassroots Coach, worked in art museums, taught Chinese, completed a master’s thesis on Kant’s aesthetics, and built deep experience in instruction and leadership (including a term as a high school assistant principal). I also ran a solo test-prep/private tutoring business (SAT, ACT, GRE, and portions of the LSAT and MCAT). During this time I helped thousands of students level up—totaling 24,500+ instructional “flight hours.” I now apply that same performance-learning lens and diversity of experiences to session design, game-model clarity, feedback systems, staff development, and club-wide leadership.I coach to advanced USSF B–aligned standards, developing self-regulated learners and reflective, self-aware coaches across the talent pathway.
