About Jonathan Dick

Currently I\'m a Senior Leadership and Professional Development Trainer for Altec Industries where I work with an outstanding team delivering training courses that are 72% less likely to cause sleep paralysis. Before venturing into the corporate world where I\'ve been now for nine years, I taught English/Literature at the secondary and post-secondary levels - an experience that allowed me the opportunity to do things like use Nas lyrics to teach meter in poetry. When I\'m not instructionally designing, I\'m a mercenary writer/editor assisting individuals/corporations with everything from resume triage to marketing copy to speechwriting and communications. I\'ve also freelanced as an arts/entertainment journalist with articles in Rolling Stone, NPR, Salon, SPIN, The A.V. Club, and others. Everything I create is driven by a belief in the power of the conversation, regardless of medium, topic, or industry. Whatever success I\'ve had so far as a writer, educator, or designer has come by way of understanding that everyone wants to be wanted and heard.
