ABOUT JONATHAN ARMSTRONG
I lead the AI Governance function in Deciphex, responsible for rolling out governance across the various brands and accelerating AI trust and governance.My background is helping clients activate on Responsible AI and unlock the potential of the data. I also have worked with medical computer vision and healthcare software space using machine learning to diagnose cancer in medical images such as mammograms and whole slide pathology images. This was in partnership with Queens University Belfast and Royal Victoria Hospital to develop Deep Learning solutions to save clinician time and improve patient wellbeing though automation and insights. I have spoken at various conferences on the subject, such as BelTech (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=olMzaI87iJQ) and Pathology Horizons.I studied mechanical engineering and then did a KTP (Knowledge Transfer Partnership) with Queen\'s University Belfast to introduce ML and AI Computer Vision into a medical software company (Cirdan). I\'m a Certified Scrum Master and hold an MPhil in Computer Science and Digital Pathology with QUB as part of my research with Cirdan.
