About Jonathan Horowitz
I\'m the founder and CEO of Encina Evaluation Services, a California company that recruits, credentials, and supports psychologists and psychiatrists performing workers\' compensation (QME) evaluations. I built Encina because the QME system puts enormous operational burden on clinicians. Credentialing complexity, scheduling friction, report writing overhead, and billing opacity are all challenging. Talented evaluators were avoiding QME work entirely because the infrastructure wasn\'t there to support them. Encina is that infrastructure. Before Encina, I spent 14 years building SF Stress & Anxiety Center into a 40+ clinician practice in the Bay Area. That experience gave me a clear picture of what it takes to support clinicians at scale. I\'m also a licensed clinical psychologist and active QME myself. I do this work firsthand, which keeps me grounded in what our evaluators actually experience. What I\'m focused on: Recruiting psychologists and psychiatrists for California QME panel positions Building the operational systems that make QME work sustainable and profitable for clinicians Delivering DWC-accredited training for behavioral health evaluators If you\'re a psychologist or psychiatrist curious about QME work, or an attorney or adjuster looking for a reliable evaluator network, let\'s connect.
