ABOUT JONATHAN FASHANU

I am a chartered civil and structural engineer and designer working across architecture, infrastructure and sustainability, with a focus on how technical systems shape the environments people live and work in.Through Studio DASH I lead projects ranging from private residential work to complex multi-stakeholder developments, combining structural clarity with environmental responsibility and long-term usability. My interest lies less in isolated buildings and more in the relationship between design, operations and the life of a place over time.Alongside practice, I teach at the Architectural Association where my work centres on sustainable structural design and helping students understand how technical decisions influence social and environmental outcomes. In parallel, I develop collaborative platforms that connect expertise across borders — including diaspora-led property initiatives and technology integration programmes that bring academic, industrial and operational stakeholders together. These initiatives are focused on localisation, training and building durable capability rather than one-off transactions.Across all of this, my work is consistent: structuring complex projects so that they remain human-centred, technically grounded and capable of lasting beyond their initial delivery.I’m always open to conversations around thoughtful design, long-term development and collaborative ventures.
