I’m currently working client -side on the £800m redevelopment of Shotton Paper Mill for ErenHoldings, one of the largest construction projects in Europe. The core driver of the project is theconstruction of a processing and production facility in the form of a Paper Mill, with supportinginfrastructure and ancillary buildings including a combined heat and power (CHP) plant. The roleis atypical, fast paced and multifaceted. Duties and responsibilities involve reviewing IFCinformation from the project designer (ARUP), managing and coordinating the delivery ofarchitectural packages within the Paper Mill and surrounding buildings, assessing contractparticulars including CE’s, EWN’s, RFI’s and monthly subcontractor valuations in accordance withthe NEC4 contract, and monitoring daily site activities.
