I lead Jacobs\' talented and dedicated Nature Advisory team. Our work is focused on helping clients to value and manage natural assets, quantify natural capital benefits and costs, and make the business case for investing in nature-based solutions and nature recovery projects. Working with our clients\' corporate sustainability, risk, reporting and procurement teams, we help tackle business\' nature-related impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities in their direct operations and supply chains. As Technical Lead I am responsible for expanding and evolving our capability to offer the industry\'s best and unrivalled science, technology and people to tackle the biggest challenges facing our planet.

ABOUT JONATHAN NICHOLS
Jonathan is a Chartered Environmentalist with over 12 years’ experience helping organisations value and manage nature as a core asset. Specialising in natural capital, ecosystem services, ecological economics, and systems approaches, he works with utilities, local government, developers, investors, and national bodies to embed natural capital value into planning, investment, and design.His work is focused on making the business case for nature: quantifying and valuing the ecosystem services that underpin climate resilience, human wellbeing, and his client’s financial success. Jonathan’s work has supported investment in nature recovery projects, advanced nature‑based solutions to tackle water pollution, carbon reduction, and climate adaptation, and quantify the impacts of major infrastructure developments.
