ABOUT JONATHAN CLARKE

With over 15 years in the industry, I’ve built my career behind the camera telling stories across broadcast, documentary, sport, and commercial content. I started out filming motocross for a boutique TV show on the Extreme Sports Channel while cutting my teeth as a camera assistant on productions like Coronation Street. Those early years taught me the value of versatility—skills I honed further when I founded 151 Films in Leicester, where I produced, directed, shot, and edited projects across a range of industries. That “all-rounder” foundation led me to join a Liverpool-based agency as an in-house Director of Photography, where I had the privilege of working with some of the UK’s biggest football clubs. Highlights include filming Liverpool FC’s global kit launches with Nike, creating community-focused documentaries for Everton FC, and shooting high-profile campaigns for brands such as Betfred, Chester Racecourse, Russell Hobbs, and Rafferty’s Garden. In recent years, I’ve developed a strong track record in documentary filmmaking—producing, directing, and shooting titles such as Terror of the Suburbs (a Doctor Who documentary for the Season 7 remaster collection), The Legend of Nigel Kneale for Hammer Films (Quatermass Xperiment box set release), and our self-produced feature Autism: Gift and the Curse. Through my company Eklectics, I’ve not only produced these documentaries but also leaned into business development—building lasting collaborations with businesses, agencies, and creatives, and shaping projects from both a creative and commercial perspective. My work also spans live production, including operating remote PTZ systems and live event cameras. Whether collaborating within large-scale teams or working as a solo shooter, I bring adaptability, creative problem-solving, and a deep understanding of storytelling to every project.Above all, I’m passionate about capturing stories in ways that resonate—whether that’s through cinematic commercials, intimate documentaries, or dynamic live content.
