   Responsible for the system engineering and technical coordination of aviation development projects involving the requirements management, design, manufacture, and supply of aircraft fire detection and suppression systems. • Develops equipment installation layouts, interface control documents, aircraft electrical system schematics, as well as other data deliverables required by the certification authorities. • Serves as the primary technical customer liaison engineer for the design engineering staff. • Supports customer troubleshooting of installation and operational problems. • Provides technical support to the program management, contracts, marketing, sales, and customer service departments. • Works in a cross-functional product development team to provide engineering analysis, reviewing and interpreting component and performance data, and conducting detailed system requirements and performance analysis. • Providing system-level engineering support/expertise to a cross-functional team consisting of electrical and mechanical engineers including management of system-level and component-level requirements. • Reviews customer requirements and executes the allocation of requirements to lower level engineering functions. • Develops and assesses product development documentation including: Product Specifications, Interface Control Documents, Compliance Matrices, Qualification Test Plans, Qualification Test Procedures, Qualification Test Reports, and Performance Specifications. • Develops Automatic Test Specifications (ATS) for the design and build of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) for use in manufacturing operations. • Ensures compliance to internal and external business processes and industry standards such as AS9100. • Develops high level software requirements in accordance with DO-178B and hardware requirements in accordance with DO-254 to support product certification.
