Prepared and prosecuted multiple patent applications in the US and various foreign jurisdictions covering technologies including residential lighting systems, agricultural grow lights and horticultural systems, infant car seats, baby playpens, automated grocery fulfillment systems, optoelectronic devices, novel battery materials, electric motors for electric vehicles, social media platforms, and nuclear fusion reactors. • Managed client intellectual property (IP) portfolios with dozens of patent families and over 100 patent filings. • Interviewed USPTO examiners for numerous patent applications and successfully overcame various rejections leading to allowances of the patent applications. • Prepared multiple petitions to traverse restriction and species election requirements by reviewing and applying relevant case law. • Counseled inventors, C-level executives, and general counsel at small start-ups, large-entity companies, and universities on IP strategy, development of IP portfolios, and product development. • Conducted numerous patentability, freedom to operate (FTO), and invalidity analyses and presented findings to clients. • Assisted attorney with pro bono work for Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) to provide immigration relief for refugee children, which included interviewing the refugee child and preparing I-360 petitions for special immigrant juvenile status. • Joined Prosecution Practice group in Boston formed by former Cooley LLP partner and associate.
