ABOUT JONATHAN TAYLOR

As someone who loves the details of technology, I have a natural talent for understanding complex problems and working with others to find solutions which I will see through to the end with a minimum of fuss. All the while building relationships with a friendly and good humoured approach, I will be a safe pair of hands to accompany others through difficult times and problems. My passion is helping my clients to deliver the best possible web and media experience for their customers. I am the bridge between my customers and Akamai, and help customers to solve problems both big and small. I work with all levels of customers, from developers through to C-level executives. I work with household name clients, including very well known customers in the UK broadcast and publishing world. One of my accounts is the largest commercial broadcaster in the UK, and another is the largest english language speaking news website globally. My other clients include a well known chip maker, who I helped with a recent high profile IPO. I also helped migrate some European customers onto our platform at short notice when a rival CDN ceased operations. I recently received an innovation award for my work in providing visibility into customer carbon emissions using the Hydrolix Traffic Peak data visibility platform. I presented at the Akamai global services academy, delivering a session on plain talking which was well received. I also recently delivered an in-depth media training course for EMEA clients, and received excellent feedback and high net promoter scoring. I am experienced in mentoring, coaching and developing individuals and teams to excel, and to help them achieve personal and business goals. I thrive on working closely with customers, understanding their needs and requirements and building a strong case to deliver this by driving it through the business. I have a background in software development and systems engineering, so I am able to swiftly grasp technical issues and work with architects to understand requirements and drive work through the business, to conclusion and delivery. I really enjoy delivering on complex requirements and keeping customers satisfied with the products and services they have purchased from Akamai. Most recently I have become skilled in API Security and have assisted customers in defending themselves against malicious use of APIs and the OWASP API top 10 attacks.
