   Jonathan Sawyer serves as a Partner and Chief of Staff in ALAW’s Tampa, Florida headquarters and was a Co-Founder of Brightline Title, ALAW’s national title agency providing nationwide title, escrow and settlement services. Jonathan has dedicated his career to the American dream of home ownership and has established a strong reputation with mortgage originators, mortgage servicers, underwriters, asset managers, and real estate professionals as an industry expert regarding real property transactions, creditors’ rights, mortgage banking and consumer finance in both the primary and secondary markets. Jonathan’s practice focuses on the Firm’s REO (real-estate owned), DIL (deed in lieu), loss mitigation, and foreclosure clients and applicable state and federal laws including the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Truth in Lending Act and the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. Jonathan is an active member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, the American Bar Association, the American Legal & Financial Network, as well as the Business Law, Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Divisions of the Florida Bar and has proudly served on industry committees and panels throughout his career.Jonathan earned his Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Florida, graduated from Stetson University College of Law, and is a member in good standing of The Florida Bar since his admission in 2003.
