ABOUT JONATHAN NORTON

With over 15 years of expertise gained at the world\'s largest toy company, I\'ve had the honor of spearheading numerous packaging solutions in collaboration with skilled partners, contributing to the success of renowned toy brands such as Transformers, Star Wars, Nerf, and Marvel.Throughout this journey, I\'ve accumulated substantial knowledge working with diverse substrates like corrugate, paperboard, PVC, PET, rPET, bioPET, pressed chipboard, foil pouches, and fiber pulp trays. Recognizing the uniqueness of each product, I consistently explore innovative concepts to ensure their prominence in retail settings or successful delivery through e-commerce channels.As my career has evolved at Hasbro, I\'ve taken on a leadership role, guiding a team of six accomplished packaging engineers across various locations in the US. Together, we strive for creative excellence, fostering collaboration within our teams, and spreading our shared passion for packaging throughout the organization.I take pride in our collective efforts to enhance sustainability in packaging at Hasbro. From initiatives such as eliminating metal wire ties to transitioning from PVC to PET in 2013 and subsequently to bioPET in 2018, we now focus on minimizing or entirely removing plastic from our packaging. Our current focus involves exploring opportunities within our supply chain to reduce shipping costs and our overall carbon footprint, while we monitor legislation and industry advancements in design and materials.
