About Jonathan Nguyen

My aim is to create innovative products that combine functionality, security and intelligent design. I love working with talented design engineers to build products that bring meaningful benefit in this exciting, connected world. Starting this business at 18 years of age, I\'ve seen many cycles in business, society and technology, and I\'ve learnt many lessons along the way. In 22 years we\'ve had some memorable successes and spectacular failures. I am someone who is willing to share my experience and lessons with our aspiring young engineers, and a few home truths from time to time. We may have started in the Security and CCTV Integration space, but today\'s \'Team Orion\' can be found in any place where innovation, engineering and good design can make a difference. Recently, I\'ve had the opportunity to launch Orion\'s new Yindi Smart Systems business in Sydney and New York. Yindi takes Orion competencies in software and product design and applies it to the emerging field of Smart Cities and Urban Technology. Our security DNA has found a niche in a world rushing to get connected. Yindi products are useful, intelligent and secure and make a positive impact on people\'s lives.
