ABOUT JONATHAN MUSTO

I am dedicated and creative cloud architect with a passion for all aspects of technology. I’m able to identify stakeholder requirements and translate them into adaptable solutions that meet the current and future needs of the business. I’m not afraid to challenge the norm when selecting the right tools to achieve a specific goal. I like to lead by example and enjoy developing people; I see myself as a mentor more than a manager.I always keep up to date with the latest technology trends and like to stay ‘close to the code’. I believe the best way to learn anything new is to dive straight in (Containers make this easier than ever). I’m just as comfortable at the Linux Shell as I am in Windows / macOS. Whilst I have a very broad technical background, I would consider myself a subject matter expert in systems integration; specifically in the consumer and business credit data market. I have successfully built solutions that integrate into all CRA products in the UK and a large number across Europe, along with OpenBanking, Stripe and other payment services. My skillset includes- Web Services (XML-SOAP / RESTful / gRPC / GraphQL)- Cryptography (TLS, maTLS, XMLDSig, ws-security etc), OpenSSL- OAuth, OpenID Connect, SSO- Markup languages and message formats such as HTML, XML, JSON, YAML, protobuf- Message brokers (MQTT, RabbitMQ)- Apache, Traefik- Front End: PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, Vue.js, Svelte, SvelteKit- Back End: Django, FastAPI, Python, Go, buf.build, connectrpc- SQL, NoSQL and Graph Databases- Observability with OTEL- CI & CD with Jenkins, Puppet & Subversion- JIRA & Confluence- Consul, Pacemaker, Corosync- Rsyslog, OSSEC- Swagger / OpenAPI- SoapUI, Postman- Docker, LXCTechnology also features quite heavily in my personal life, specifically IoT and Home Automation, much to the annoyance of my Wife! I also enjoy keeping fit and setting myself challenges such as Tough Mudders and Half Marathons. To relax I enjoy reading a book, watching a film or catching up my favourite TV show.
