ABOUT JONATHAN MUMA

In the more than 17 years employed with Rogers, I had the opportunity to integrate myself into the newsrooms and communities of Toronto, Halifax and Calgary. Working in three very distinct and diverse regions allowed me to develop a deep understanding of what is important to our audience across the country. I have seen what winning cultures look like. For stations to succeed; everyone needs to be put in the best possible situation to succeed. In my more than 20 years covering news across Canada in print, radio and television, I have solidified my position as a trusted, dedicated reporter, anchor, talk show host, editor, producer and leader. In my role as Supervising Producer, I promoted and championed diversity in our hiring and in our stories. In an increasingly digital world, I understand and appreciate the importance of a digital-first approach and expanding those opportunities, with a strong eye for what will work on different platforms. I am a strong believer that taking time to grow and develop talent is paramount, and that a successful culture in the current media environment requires collaboration.
