   As a Technical Director at Charles Schwab, I’ve taken on an individual contributor role to guide the Advice Technology group on architectural strategic direction. Overseeing 39 different application repositories across nine different application systems and 4 scrum teams (both onshore and offshore). Lead on-going discussions with business leadership on strategic vision for the advice technology suite of applications. Aided in the mentoring and agile transformation efforts to help the teams be successful and improve time to delivery. Completed a technology blueprinting effort to identify application modernization opportunities and set a technical roadmap for the team to execute on. Wrote technical software architecture design documents, context diagrams, epics and user stories. Presented findings, learnings and go-forward strategy to management and business leadership. Mentored and coded application system refactorings to support on-going maintenance efforts, improve code testability and teach junior developers software best practices. Gave presentations on domain driven design, code refactoring, strangler pattern, cloud architecture design and code testability. Regularly review pull requests from both onshore and offshore developers and provide feedback on code improvement and adherence to Schwab technology standards. Lead a team of developers and assisted on coding efforts of a batch process application leveraging Pivotal Cloud Foundry, SpringBoot and Redis in a large migration effort off of a legacy system. Continue to play a hands-on role with application modernization efforts to a micro-service architecture utilizing Pivotal Cloud Foundry, SpringBoot, MongoDB, Redis and RabbitMQ. Lead the development team in a migration effort off of legacy code repository to BitBucket. Implemented GitFlow branching strategy and Pull Request to help the team improve coding practices and improve code delivery.
