ABOUT JONATHAN KROOP

I am a BA Business student at Brandeis University, expected to graduate in 2025. I have a strong interest in economics, which I pursued through a study abroad program at DIS in Denmark. I also have a passion for community service and volunteering, which I demonstrated through my leadership roles at Phelps Memorial Hospital and Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. I have developed core competencies in writing, budgeting, and event planning, as well as advanced skills in Excel, as evidenced by my certifications from LinkedIn. In the summer of 2022, I had the opportunity to work as a Biomedical Research Intern at New York Medical College, where I investigated the effects of mushroom extracts on bladder tumor cell growth. I applied my analytical and writing skills to conduct tissue culture assays, analyze data, and contribute to a paper that was published in the Journal of Cancer Research and Treatment. This experience showed me how to collaborate with a diverse and multidisciplinary team of researchers, and how to communicate complex scientific concepts to a broader audience. I am eager to learn from and contribute to an organization that values innovation, creativity, and social impact. I believe that I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as well as a strong work ethic, a growth mindset, and a willingness to learn.
