I have specialised in forensic accounting for over 10 years, primarily working on international arbitration and litigation disputes relating to the quantification of damages, contentious valuations and technical accounting matters. My experience includes- Drafting the expert witness report as part of an arbitration dispute relating to amounts owed under a mining drilling agreement and the alleged expropriation of mining assets in Africa- Drafting the expert witness report and managing a small team as part of UK High Court case concerning a claim for lost profits in the healthcare sector- Assisting in the expert determination arising from a share purchase agreement dispute in the UK retail sector- Quantifying the amounts allegedly due following the dissolution of a business partnership as part of an LCIA arbitration- Managing an independent forensic audit of a cost sharing agreement relating to two FMCG businesses- Drafting the joint expert witness report as part of an international arbitration concerning the alleged expropriation of assets by a central Asian government- Managing an accounting dispute relating to the sale of a Scandinavian construction business by a FTSE 250 company- Building discounted cash flow models, using Microsoft Excel and complex sale and purchase agreements, to calculate the historical and future financial losses arising from international disputes in the energy and construction sectors- Assisting counsel during the cross-examinations of expert witnesses at the UK High Court an in arbitrations.I also have experience of non-contentious valuations including the valuation of a digital consulting business, patents, and purchase price allocations (PPA)(including valuation of intangible assets) for financial reporting purposes. I am interested in all things related to technology disputes and digital assets.I am a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and have a BSc in Economics from the University of Warwick.On my own initiative, I successfully achieved a Certificate in Advanced Valuation from NYU Stern School of Business. The fourth-month course consisted of exam assessments and a final valuation project assessed by Professor Damodaran. My project valued valued a low-cost European airline and achieved full marks.
