As an Electrical Project Engineer, I manage fiber networking on renewable sites, coordinate Building Management Systems (BMS) for one of our data centers, and oversaw the electrical scope for upgraded critical systems at a large investment firm. My focus currently includes low-voltage systems and fiber networking for comms, fire control, SCADA, security, BMS, and internet services on both renewable and commercial projects-Flow Diagrams Review: Analyze flow diagrams for fiber optic installations to ensure proper integration, verifying that connections support SCADA communications and fire control systems-Low-Voltage Testing: Utilize OTDR testing to assess fiber optic installations, identifying splice loss and network integrity. Light-level testing ensures sufficient signal strength throughout the network-Material Procurement and Buyout: Managed procurement based on project specifications, Wrote submittals and recommended best install practices-Project Management Tools: Developed structured Excel sheets using PowerAutmate to efficiently track costs, project projections, and schedules-Calibration of Equipment: Ensured proper calibration of testing equipment to ensure accuracy in field operations-Control Cable Installation: Installed control cables for BMS, ensuring correct terminations for Sensors,(PLCs), gateways, MCBs, etc. This supports effective communication for managing HVAC, lighting, VRFs, and security-Critical Power Systems Installation: Oversaw the design and installation of Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS), Power Distribution Units (PDU), Power Meters, CRAHs, Battery cabinets, rectifiers, and MDF/IDF rooms while coordinating with contractors to meet voltage specifications and proper transformer integration-Comprehensive Testing: Oversaw NETA testing, Megger testing, and Infrared (IR) scans on electrical systems to ensure safety and reliability. As well as Arc flash coordination Studies to ensure proper installation of equipment.
