Team leader for a group of Data Analysts, responsible for providing digital and data analytical solutions for the Consultancy Practice and wider business. Example projects include: Southern Region Track Analysis: Analysis of tens of thousands of datapoints describing rail defect work orders for the Wessex route within the Southern region, in order to support the client to challenge the appropriateness of defect rectification timescales within Network Rail standards. Utilised my rail domain knowledge to demonstrate a key understanding of the issue and its wider context within the industry and worked with the project to devise a robust strategy that queries the data to draw invaluable insights. Analysis was carried out in Python to support the handling and versatile transformations of the sizeable structured and unstructured datasets under review. National Highway Definitive Network Model Digital Twin: Project Manager for the development of a Digital Twin built upon National Highway’s Definitive Network Model. The objective of this trial was to build a proof of concept, termed a ‘thin twin’, that would enable a user to query multiple layers of data within a relatively narrow geographic region, built within Atkins’ Microsoft Azure datalab environment. This proof of concept theoretically supports the client by providing historically siloed data into one environment, enabling them to make informed and insightful business decisions. RIS3 Renewals Investment Planning - Flexible Pavements: Analysed pavement defects collected from the CONFIRM database to produce a defect rate model that supports OPEX investment planning. This involved analysing, transforming and manipulating the data as well as making informed decisions based on sound engineering practice. This was carried out within Power BI and Power Query, in order to support the handling of the large dataset.
