Sub-System Lead – Trent Fleet Nacelles & Systems Feb 2021 to PresentI am the lead engineer responsible for In-Service Engine Nacelles and systems integration across the service fleet product line. I have successfully led redesign activity on the Trent 700 inlet to resolve long standing durability issues in conjunction with the design-make vendors (external companies). Part of this required re-evaluation of technical data to develop and align root cause understanding with service data which once done, allowed design solutions to be evolved to maximise effectiveness. I regularly act as a departmental technical specialist investigating technical & operational service arisings, while developing less experienced engineering personnel. This requires me to compile, analyse and consider technical and service data from multiple sources to determine a cohesive understanding of the issue under consideration. My previous experience across the mechanical engineering technical spectrum including control system and thermodynamic performance knowledge helps me to do this.
