Jonathan is a Partner leading West Coast Financial Services, Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services (CMAAS), and National FinTech/Digital Asset practice initiatives at PwC. Jonathan has more than 22 years of experience in the financial services industry across a range of sectors including asset and wealth managers, investment banks, commercial banks, financial technology, digital assets, insurance companies, hedge funds, mutual funds, broker-dealers, private equity funds, real estate companies, and hedge fund of funds. Prior to relocating to the West Coast, Jonathan spent more than three years in Chicago focusing on capital market transactions and technical accounting, two years in London, England in the Capital Markets, Accounting Advisory and Structuring Group focusing on cross border transactions and six years in the New York Asset Management practice providing audit and accounting advisory services. Jonathan has worked on SEC registration/listing projects for domestic and foreign private issuers, GAAP conversions, divestitures and various financial reporting and transaction advisory engagements across both financial services and non-financial services industries. Jonathan specializes in technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge including: the SEC registration process, pro forma financial statements, carve-out reporting, valuation of financial instruments, consolidation, derivative accounting, share class organizations, principles of revenue recognition, segment reporting and other various financial reporting considerations. Jonathan has a degree in Finance and Accounting from Indiana University – Bloomington and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in California and New York.
