About Jonathan Hartman
As the current President-Elect and former Executive Vice President andRegion I Vice President of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE), I volunteer to serve and represent the NSPE/TSPE chapters across the state. I help connect chapters to state resources and provide feedback to the state on how to support local chapters. I also support TSPE in its mission and help promote the licensed practice of the Professional Engineer (PE).As an Associate Electrical Engineer at Burns & McDonnell, I have over 15 years of experience managing, overseeing, and designing electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects. My current roles serve mainly the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and its mission. I am responsible for electrical distribution for mission-critical projects, electrical calculations, arc flash hazard calculations, lightning protection, Instrumentation & Control and coordinating with clients and other disciplines to ensure complete and successful projects. I have also worked on air monitoring systems for worker safety, modifying an existing design and working through procurement, testing, and construction phase services. I also serve a small, growing team of engineers in Amarillo and help lead and manage projects through assessments, design, construction, and construction administration phases of infrastructure projects.I am passionate about learning and teaching, and I have received multiple awards for my outstanding achievements and dedicated service to the engineering profession.
