I conducted a three-year behavioral health research project on behalf of Parkland Health & the Human Services & Resources Administration (HRSA). The research explored quantitative & qualitative lessons learned and outcomes of a youth based, case management focused intervention for HIV+ black men who have sex with men age 17-34. The goal was to improve linkage to care, retention in care & viral suppression. The successful findings were integrated into a new comprehensive Strategic Plan to guide my new unit. I now manage Outreach & Retention for our four clinics and patients in the DFW area. My team consists of Client Advocates and Peer Patient Navigators on the frontline of the HIV epidemic.
