ABOUT JONATHAN GRAINGER
For over 30 years I have worked as a Business Analyst, Consultant, Project Manager, and Investigator for some of the world’s largest investment banks, insurance companies and government organisations. Through these overlapping experiences, I have been sought to work on multiple large and small-scale ICT projects, including tender processes, software evaluation, enterprise system development, system integrations, and regulatory comploiance changes. Through these engagements, I have gained robust business analysis and project management skills, allowing me to deliver value in new projects or those on a critical path that require recovery and realignment. I am highly experienced in engaging with stakeholders, asking the right questions to elicit and develop controlled and traceable requirements. I have used Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies to achieve project deliverables and timelines depending upon the scale and suitability of the project and evolving business and regulatory needs. Working with Project Managers, Change managers, Developers, Testers, and Solution Architects to present multiple business options to ensure the best possible business outcome is achieved within identified risks and constraints, ensuring decision traceability is maintained. I have repeatedly had my engagements extended or have moved on to work in other areas of the same organisation due to my ability to deliver above and beyond customer expectations and the reputation I have learned to build within an organisation. The investment banking and Insurance industries require a detailed assessment of business needs impacted by regulated and internal risks and constraints. I returned to the private sector after fulling a lifelong ambition in the Queensland Police Service. I led investigations within State Crime Command into Serious and Organised Crime, working on detailed, lengthy investigations including homicide, drug trafficking, and financial and cybercrime. During 8+ years as an investigator, I have gained unique first-hand experience in dealing with people in difficult circumstances being able to problem solve and resolve conflict quickly. Interview witnesses and victims to ensure relevant information and evidence are obtained, documented, and verified. I have been required to interview hostile suspects, building rapport and trust to achieve the best outcomes
