ABOUT JONATHAN FUHRMAN
I am an alumnus of Syracuse University with a Computer Science degree from the Engineering & Computer Science College. During my time in Syracuse, I had the chance to learn and develop skills in the programming world, which led me to create interests in Data Analytics, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Front-End Programming. Outside of the classroom, I am an active member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) and the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity (ZBT). Moreover, I enjoy playing tennis & soccer.I interned at Corning Incorporated in the summer of 2022 in a data analyst role. It was a unique experience because each intern had a task related to their specific background of studies. In my case, I was able to bring my programming skills and combine them with Data Analysis and Finance skills to successfully create a dynamic dashboard in Power BI. In this role, I learned how to use Excel formulas and pivot tables, how to use Power BI to create a dashboard and tell a story with data & how to use Power Query to clean, gather & transform data. Last but not least, I learned how to analyze and understand financial data. I am open to work! and actively looking for a company that could offer me a career that allows me to grow alongside the company. I offer my knowledge and skills in programming, data analytics, & finance that I have learned from my degree and many experiences and opportunities.
