I am one of the founders of Sigma Efficiency Ltd, a business dedicated to removing cost from supply chains. I have led the development of our unique warehouse productivity software Pick Modeller calculates target times for each picking assignment, measures and tracks individuals performance and analyses warehouse layouts. It increases efficiency by allowing for better resourcing decisions, actively managing operative performance and improving product placement. I also work with businesses, small and large to root out waste and reduce costs by, for example- Introducing lean processes within warehousing such as 5s and Sigma Efficiency\'s unique brand of Kaizen - Taking the best of statistical process control techniques from manufacturing and applying them to the fast paced logistics arena - Implementing software such as ITMS for transport operations and productivity management solutions for warehouse tasks - Analysing and managing picking strategies within large scale warehousing function using some of the most sophisticated software tools pioneered by us Typically I will carry out an initial review of all or part of a supply chain and follow up with a set of practical measures designed to tangibly remove cost from your warehouse or transport operation. I am responsible for setting the current logistics strategies for a number of high street retailers and can demonstrate the significant cost reductions achieved. Specialties: Combining many years running some of the UKs biggest logistics operations with an academic obsession for applying science, maths and technology to the world of logistics, I am an authority on the subject of logistics productivity.
