I am a Partner in, and the Head of, the Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance Team in London. I act for lenders and borrowers and have been involved in advising domestic and international banks and financial institutions on transactions both in the UK and overseas. I specialise in infrastructure project finance transactions in the UK and Internationally – I spent six months as acting head of Banking and International Finance of CMS Cameron McKenna, Moscow. I regularly deliver solutions involving bank debt, bond issues (public and private placements including USPPs), monoline wraps, mezzanine financings, holdco financings and portfolio financings and I have worked on many deals involving IFIs and ECAs as well as government guarantees. My experience includes over 20 years of working on finance transactions in the energy (predominantly, but not exclusively, renewable energy), infrastructure (both economic and social), and technology infrastructure sectors (I have been highly active in the infratech market, working on data centres, towers, terrestrial fibre networks and subsea cables) in the UK, Europe, North America and Africa. I have also advised utility companies and other major corporates on their treasury arrangements generally, including debt facilities, acquisition financings, project finance transactions, capex funding, private placements and capital markets and derivatives transactions.
