About Jonathan Cohen
As third-generation leader of the Eli and Bessie Cohen Camps, I proudly continue my grandparents’ vibrant legacy of experiential, Jewish education that instills Jewish values, self-confidence and independence in over a thousand children and young adults each year. My prior 20+ years of work in business consulting and financial management, applying technology to business processes, product development, and marketing, all helped prepare me for this role. Just like our campers, each Cohen Camp—the co-ed Tel Noar and Tevya and the all-girls Pembroke—shines with its own personality. What energizes me and my team: a shared vision, the strength of collaboration, and our pluralistic 10 Jewish Commitments. We see success in every child who gains lifelong friends, a deep sense of community, and enduring Jewish values, identity and joy, all in a classic New England summer of fun and sun. Building on our 80+ year legacy, The Cohen Camps consistently drive both tradition and innovation; I am honored that so many see us as models and leaders in Jewish camping.
