   We started The Leading Through Institute (LTI) to help shift the paradigm of leadership from legacy models centered on power over people, to a new, more effective model centered on generating collective power through people. At the heart of that work is a belief that there is dignity, value and the potential for greatness in every person, and that the viability and vitality of our organizations, communities and societies ultimately depends on our ability to help each other realize our potential—personal and collective. In a world increasingly shaped by impersonal digital technologies and distractions, human connection and human experience matter more than ever. The key is leadership, but not the kind we get from executives or teams of experts alone. That’s why we started LTI: to help people everywhere do the work of leadership—mobilizing action, learning and change, and creating environments where people and organizations can thrive.
