With experience on both sides of the interconnection process, he understands the complexities of generator interconnection into the Bulk Electric System (BES) while ensuring FERC and NERC compliance.Jon has extensive experience with positive sequence software (PSSE, PSLF, TARA) and EMT software (EMTP, PSCAD). He has a strong background in the WECC region and its planning process, as well as the Eastern Interconnect, providing valuable expertise in navigating the evolving energy landscape.In addition to transmission planning, Jon has experience in renewable generator model testing and validation to ensure NERC compliance. His background also includes day-to-day transmission grid operations, providing a deep understanding of real-time grid challenges.
