As head of editorial production at the Guardian, I am responsible for the work of subeditors and other production staff. I work on the main digital newsdesk and make sure the needs of our print and web teams are met, coordinating the work of subeditors with desk editors and writers, SEO, visuals, video and picture editors to ensure a smooth 24/7 global news operation.I have played a key role in the digital transformation of the Guardian over the past decade, working to integrate print and digital operations, restructuring editorial teams and implementing changes in workflow, managing staff and encouraging best practice. Outside of my day-to-day duties, I have been involved in special projects including WikiLeaks, Edward Snowden/NSA and the Panama Papers, and was part of the launch team at the Guardian\'s US operation.
