Launch the new Neighborhood Services Department to foster strong Oak Park neighborhoods through holistic, neighborhood-based service delivery. Lead a team of 20 to manage the Village’s external grants (e.g. CDBG), housing programs, residential code enforcement, and neighborhood engagement. Rebooting the Housing Trust Fund to align the application process with the funding cycles of other key partners, clarify the Village’s priorities for the fund, and define staff’s process for monitoring compliance. Realign the operations of the Code Enforcement division around four performance measures to remove a structural backlog of unresolved code cases. Managed the Village’s response to the results of fair housing testing, including development of a new landlord compliance code and a process of consistent fair housing testing. Respond promptly to emergent neighborhood issues, including resolving thorny resident-business conflicts.
